Anti-waste recipe: carrot terrine
A simple, savory recipe that’s perfect for using up your stale bread and avoiding waste.
Ingredients for 4 persons
- 250g of carrots
- 80g of stale bread
- 100g of fromage blanc
- ½ an egg yoke
- 4 cl of semi-skimmed milk
- Preheat oven to 160 ° C. Peel carrots and cut into slices. Cook until tender.
- Mix the egg yolk and milk, then add the salt and cumin. Soak the bread in the egg and milk mixture.Mix the carrots with the bread mixture and pour into a mold. Cook for 40 minutes in a double boiler. Put to the side for 24 hours in a cool place.
- Mix fromage blanc, chopped chives, salt and pepper. Serve the terrine with the sauce.
