Anti-waste recipe: give a second life to your stale bread leftovers

- 120 g of stale bread
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 egg
- 80 g of butter
- 4 tablespoons of chocolate chips
- Stale bread cut into small squares
- 1 egg
- 3 cl of fresh cream
- 1 tablespoon of caster sugar
- 1 tablespoon of diced fruit
- 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips
Instructions for cookies
1. Crush the stale bread into a powder
2. Beat the egg, pour it into a bowl and add the bread powder, sugar, butter and chocolate chips
3. Mix until you obtain a homogeneous dough
4. Divide the dough into the desired number of cookies and place them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper
5. Bake in oven set at 180°C for 12 minutes
Instructions for muffins
1. To guage the correct amount needed, fill 2 muffin molds with stale dried bread cut into small squares
2. In a bowl, beat the egg then mix with the liquid cream and caster sugar
3. Add the diced fruit, chocolate chips and mix everything together
5. Place the bread in the bowl and mix until the bread is completely moist
6. Pour the mixture into the two molds. Pack down well
7. Sprinkle with sugar and / or chocolate chips
8. Bake in oven set at 180°C for 20 minutes
